Hallo!

Bei der Verwendung von pdflatex erhalte ich folgende Meldung:

! TeX capacity exceeded, sorry [pool size=65381].

If you really absolutely need more capacity,
you can ask a wizard to enlarge me.

Tja, wie kann ich tex denn mehr memory verpassen? oder hat das andere
Gründe? Das sind merere Latex dateien die mit input eingebunden werden,
einige enthalten noch grafiken und dann werden ca. 60 Seiten Quellcode
mit \lstlisting eingebunden.

Evtl. liegt die texmf.cnf bei Debilian woanders.

Nein, die liegt dort, allerdings gilt (zumindest für teTeX 2):

% anything please take a look at the files in /etc/texmf/texmf.d, and
% invoke update-texmf.

Wenn Du die texmf.cnf änderst, ist beim nächsten apt-get upgrade wieder
alles hin.

Wenn es sich um ein teTeX 2.0.2-4.x aus Debian/unstable handelt, gilt
das nicht mehr. Die texmf.cnf in /etc/texmf wird nicht mehr
verwendet. Stattdessen wird sie in /var/lib/texmf/web2c abgelegt.
Dass nur in /etc/texmf/texmf.d editiert werden soll, gilt aber
weiterhin.

Ich hatte an dem Tag gerade eine kleine Mail-Flame-Battle mit einem
Debian-Nutzer, der meinte, mich wegen meiner SuSE als Idioten hinstellen
zu müssen. (Selber braucht der Herr Synaptic(sp?), weil apt-get zu
kompliziert sei. Ah, ja.).
Note to self: Debian hat ein Unterverzeichnis in dem man das anpassen
muss.
